The subject of, "what makes us feel and look older?"
Unless you are making money as the bearded lady, facial hair is not an asset for a woman. The Hair Research and Treatment Centre at the University of British Columbia in Canada believe that 22 percent of women in North America have unwanted facial hair. Having unwanted facial hair can make you look and feel old. Usually we see excess facial hair when women are approaching or in menopause. My mother told me if I shave or wax my face the hair will come back like a man's beard. This is not true. In fact waxing is a great way to remove facial hair and refresh the texture of the skin by removing the dead cells that creates a dull skin tone to the face. Most women that come into the salon are looking to remove the hair to the upper lip and chin but are reluctant to remove the fine hairs on the check. We recommend that smoothing the whole face will give you a feeling of younger skin. Here is list of other methods for removing unwanted hair: Shaving, Tweezing, and Depilatories, Friction (rough surfaces used to buff away hair); "Epilation", or removal of the entire hair from the root, lasts several days to several weeks.
Note there are always advantages and disadvantages to
any method that you might choose, so first investigate the pros and cons.
